Skills

The agent skills in this repository, and the skill the site publishes.

The agent skills in this repository, and when to run each one.

A skill is a file an agent reads and follows. Skills live at .agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md. The description in that file says when it applies. This repository ships one skill.

The site publishes one skill for agents that are not in this repository. The index is /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json. The file is /.well-known/agent-skills/okmodel/SKILL.md. It says to start at /llms.txt, then fetch one page. The index pins that file with a SHA-256 digest.

okm-ship

.agents/skills/okm-ship/SKILL.md closes an implementation. Run it before you say the work is done. A missing changelog note for user-visible work is a defect.

AGENTS.md and .cursor/rules/changelog.mdc send the agent to this file. Follow the skill file.

When it applies

After a change to behavior, the public API, the CLI, a dialect, an adapter, errors, or the normative docs. Also when the prompt says to ship, close out, or sync the changelog.

A pure typo or a format-only edit stays out of the changelog and skips the bump.

What it requires

Three steps, in order. Finish them before the work is called done, and before the commit.

StepAction
1From the diff, list what a user or an app author would notice.
2Append those notes to changelog.md under ## Unreleased.
3Run bun run bump next.

A note that would describe an API the source does not have stops the skill. Ask before writing it.

Create a group only when it has bullets. Keep this order:

GroupUse it for
### ✨ AddedA new capability, export, or command.
### šŸ’„ Breaking ChangesAn incompatible API, config, or behavior.
### ā™»ļø ChangedA behavior or default change.
### āš ļø DeprecatedA deprecation.
### šŸ”„ RemovedA removal.
### šŸ› FixedA bug fix.
### šŸ”’ SecurityA security-relevant change.

A group with 8 or more bullets gets #### areas, and only for areas that have bullets. Order: contracts, dialects, adapters, runtime, tooling, docs. The area is where the change lives. The CLI, scripts, checks, and CI are tooling. Files under docs/ are docs. A smaller group stays flat.

One idea per bullet. Write the user-visible impact. Put the bullet in its group, under its area when the group is large.

PromptNotes go underCommand
An implementation## Unreleasedbun run bump next
The release prompt of a train## Unreleased; the command promotes that sectionbun run bump release
An untagged release the prompt names, such as v0.6.0That existing ## vX.Y.ZLeave package.json as it is

bun run bump next sets package.json to <next release>-next.N and leaves the changelog in place. bun run bump release drops the -next.N suffix, renames ## Unreleased to ## vX.Y.Z — <date>, and leaves a fresh empty ## Unreleased.

Hygiene finishes before a release bump. A hygiene prompt that is not itself the release still runs bun run bump next. The release prompt of a train is P17B for 0.1.0, then P30, P44, P55, P66, P86, P99, P110, and P119. That prompt runs bun run bump release.

patch, minor, major, and --set remain available. Each of those still promotes the changelog. --dry-run prints the plan and writes nothing.

Untagged release

When the prompt names a release that has no tag yet, the notes go under that heading. bun run bump stays unrun. bun run release-check allows this until the tag exists.

Before the execution report, review the change against the engineering standards in the skill (D129). The report states runtime entry size, minified and gzip, cold import, and any type-cost change. It also states the app startup graph, the total graph, and connect-entry cold imports. A measurement within 3% of a type ceiling is called out. A path listed in .cursor/rules/project-map.mdc that moved is updated in that same change.

What it must not do

  • Append a bullet under a tagged ## vX.Y.Z. Current notes go under ## Unreleased.
  • Write a ## v… heading. bun run bump release writes it.
  • Add a group or an area outside the lists above.
  • Describe an API the source does not have. Stop and ask.
  • Run bun run bump release outside the release prompt of a train.
  • Run bun run bump when the prompt names an untagged release.
